We now know enough about the human condition; how we live, learn and love, to act in the best interest of children. The fundamental question is: do we want them to be who we think they should be or do we want them to be themselves? If you empower individuals to realise their full potential, you are intentionally altering the nature of society. There is no guarantee that when they grow up they will agree with you or hold your personal, political, religious or cultural views. If humanity is to develop fully, we must trust in the young and provide them with the tools and opportunity to make the world anew.
